Camp Takajo is hiring a Basketball Counselor for Summer 2026. This position is ideal for current or former basketball players or coaches who enjoy teaching, mentoring, and being outdoors.

Dates: June 20 – August 13, 2026

Compensation: $400 per week

Type: Seasonal, Full-Time

Responsibilities

Teach and develop basketball fundamentals for campers ages 7–15

Co-lead programs with up to 100 children participating

Create and implement daily lesson plans with a co-instructor

Coach intra-camp games and team tournaments

Foster teamwork, confidence, and sportsmanship among campers

Qualifications

High school or collegiate basketball playing/coaching experience

Strong leadership and communication skills

Enthusiastic, dependable, and enjoys working with children
