Feline Behavior Associate

Join our team as a Feline Behavior Associate!

Marin Humane is looking for a passionate and curious cat-behavior enthusiast to join our dedicated animal care team! If you love working with shelter cats — especially those who need extra time, patience, and behavior support — this might be the role for you.

As our Feline Behavior Associate, you’ll work alongside our Feline Behavior Coordinator to support cats in our shelter, help guardians build stronger relationships with their feline companions, and provide education to the community, volunteers, and staff. Each day brings meaningful opportunities to better understand cat behavior, solve challenges, and help cats thrive.

In this role, you’ll:

Work directly with cats who need extra socialization or behavior support

Conduct consultations and educational sessions with the public

Support volunteers with training and ongoing development

Help increase awareness and appreciation for feline behavior through workshops, presentations, and written content

About you:
You’re curious, compassionate, and patient — and you love digging into the "why" behind feline behavior. Ideally, you have experience working with cats in a shelter environment, strong communication skills, and a desire to learn and grow your behavior expertise. Spanish-speaking candidates are encouraged to apply — additional pay is offered!

Position details:

Regular status: 30 hours/week

Pay range: $21.87 – $24.30/hr DOE

Spanish-speaking premium: +$0.50/hr
