Internship Duration: ~3 months (flexible)
Stipend: $1,200 for the semester
Schedule: Part-time
About Us:
Chase Sanctuary is a nonprofit wildlife conservancy dedicated to the rescue, care, and conservation of endangered species. We are home to over 15 unique species of primates, birds, and reptiles, and are currently seeking a motivated and tech-savvy intern to support our digital infrastructure and outreach efforts.
Position Overview:
The IT Intern will work directly with our team to enhance Chase’s digital presence, integrate tools, and improve user experience. This is an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates in tech-related fields to gain hands-on experience in a meaningful, mission-driven setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in website redesign to improve functionality and user experience
- Support e-commerce platform (Ecwid) setup and maintenance
- Integrate tools and systems (e.g., Airtable, online forms, automation)
- Help develop a webcam experience for public engagement
- Conduct testing and troubleshooting of web systems and integrations
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in one of the following (or similar):
- Computer Science
- Information Technology
- Software Engineering
- UX/UI Design
- Web Development
- Digital Media
- Systems Engineering
- Familiarity with website platforms (e.g., WordPress, Ecwid, or similar)
- Basic understanding of automation and cloud-based tools (Zapier, Airtable, etc.)
- Strong communication and time management skills
