Digital Product Intern (Graduate Student)

Position Summary

As a Digital Product Intern on our Digital Product team at Upstream, USA, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and contribute to various aspects of the newly built Digital platform. You will work closely with members of our Digital Product team to support the pilot roll out and release of additional features against the newly formed digital roadmap.  This internship offers valuable learning opportunities for new product development, go to market digital product strategy, competitive feature analysis and growing and building a new digital product line.   Availability to commit to 40 hours per week for the duration of the internship preferable.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Feature Analysis & Strategy: Conduct deep-dive competitive audits of digital health tools to identify best-in-class features for our new digital product line.
  • Product Roadmap Support: Assist Digital Team Managers and help in prioritizing the backlog and defining requirements for the next phase of the contraception website.
  • Pilot Execution: Support the "Go-to-Market" (GTM) activities for the pilot rollout, including contact us support and operations metrics.
  • Data & Insights: Help monitor pilot metrics and synthesize site and user feedback to inform future feature releases.
  • Marketing and Awareness:  Support the digital team in program execution, awareness strategies and social media outreach.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with UX/UI designers, engineers, and clinical experts to ensure the product meets both technical standards and patient needs.
  • And other duties as assigned by the Head of Digital Product and Digital Product  team.

Required Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Ability

  • Pursuing a graduate degree in health care management,  technology, engineering, economics or a related field.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Enthusiastic about learning and contributing to the Digital Product function.
  • Experience with file management or creating and organizing documents is a plus.

Travel Requirements

This role will require local travel twice each week into our Boston office for in person meetings. There may be an opportunity to attend a department retreat. 

Hiring Range

The hourly rate is $30/hour for an advanced degree student internship

Pay Transparency

Final offers for this position will be based upon several factors including the scope of the role, market compensation analysis, position requirements, candidate’s experience level and capabilities, fairness in internal pay considerations and will be made within the parameters of Upstream USA's compensation framework and philosophy.

  • All Upstreamers must be able to attend work-related in-person meetings and functions as needed. 
  • In our hybrid work environments, there is a basic expectation that our Upstreamers will ensure that their work from home setups will have reliable access to phone and Internet to ensure connectivity to their teams.
  • At Upstream we gather for moments that matter for training, teaming and connection. Our teams come together for occasional in person meetings and organizational retreats. As part of our hybrid work practices, this travel expectation will be applicable for all Upstreamers, even those based remotely.
