Account Marketing Associate

 

Job Summary:

  • Works on a minimum of one account while learning early managerial work overall, to be prepared to transition to SMA under the manager’s guidance.
  • Thrives in an environment filled with tight deadlines, complex issues, and demanding clients is key.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as an “Account Leader''
  • Serves as a client liaison by researching and interacting with current and new clients’ businesses
  • Serves as the backbone in managing client relationships/expectations, with weekly/bi-weekly face-to-face interaction and daily email/phone interaction with the manager’s guidance.
  • Expected to continue developing their areas of expertise to apply that knowledge to client engagements as they become a key leader on the account with the support of managers while directly working with external industry experts as needed.
  • Get familiar and lead project plans (Gantt), strategy implementation, and measurement of client results through all phases of development with guidance from managers and a partner network (strategy, creative, PR experts, etc.).for a min. of one client for client deliverables.
  • Monitors/reports effectiveness and client’s satisfactory levels under manager’s guidance.
  • Assist managers with client relationships and expectations through avid preparation, and trust‐building while meeting clients’ needs, offering options, resolving problems, and following up with the clients.
  • Learn to have a strong command of the marketing landscape so that optimal marketing tactics are recommended, implemented, and analyzed in the most efficient and profitable way possible under the manager’s supervision.
  • Lead and own full PowerPoint deck development (strategy, tactics, meetings, etc.) under the manager’s direction, and content development process under the manager’s guidance.
  • Serves as a training ground to hone a manager skillset that includes preparing and helping run client meetings, guiding Interns, JAs, and other MAs with less seniority.
  • Participates in process-building effort for clients and BDMT for increasing efficiency, identifies complex problems and helps develop options to implement solutions.
  • Plan for and attend trade shows to support clients/team if possible 
  • Grow existing accounts and seek to upsell opportunities and additional services to clients while learning to monitor/update client budgets/invoices and partner costs/hours. 
  • Manage internal/external teams with strategies and tactics, and have a good understanding of the spectrums of business development and marketing (including social media, analytics, CRM, and other general areas).

  • Ability to be efficient MS Excel, Google, PowerPoint 

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferably in Marketing, Business, Marketing Communications, International Relations, Market Research, or related fields
  • Experience: Min. 1y of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in Marketing, Business, Marketing Communications, International Relations, Market Research, or related fields (agency experience preferred)

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Know-how to coordinate the efforts of a small, as well as large team of diverse employees, is preferred.
  • Knowledge of analyzing and synthesizing data in Excel and potentially other databases is preferred. 
  • Working knowledge of Customer relationship management (CRM) tools or other tools is preferred
  • Understanding of international business culture and a strong interest in expanding global business operations are preferred.
  • Strong planning/organizational/research/analytical skill 
  • Some digital marketing backgrounds include Social media, analytics, email marketing
