Position Overview

Juab High School is seeking a dynamic and dedicated High School Social Studies Teacher to join our team for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will foster critical thinking, civic engagement, and a deep understanding of history, government, economics, and geography in a supportive and engaging classroom environment.

Preference will be given to candidates with a Social Studies endorsement.

However, applicants with Physical Education and/or Art endorsements are also encouraged to apply, as additional teaching assignments in these areas may be available.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based instruction in Social Studies courses (e.g., U.S. History, World History, Government, Economics).
• Create a positive classroom environment that promotes student learning and respect.
• Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs.
• Assess student progress and provide timely feedback.
• Integrate technology and current events into instruction.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administration to support student success.
• Participate in school activities, meetings, and professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Studies, or a related field.
• Valid state teaching license with Social Studies endorsement (preferred).
• Additional endorsements in Physical Education and/or Art are highly desirable.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Commitment to student-centered learning and academic excellence.

• Passion for engaging students in real-world applications of social studies content.
• Willingness to contribute to extracurricular programs or coaching (if applicable).
