Data Analyst Tableau Developer

NumInformatics is seeking a Data Analyst / Tableau Developer to support a federal financial regulatory project. This role focuses on developing data visualizations, performing data analysis, and supporting data solutions within an AWS environment.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SQL, Python, and Tableau, along with prior experience working with financial services or regulatory data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial datasets to identify trends and support data-driven decision-making
  • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau (or similar tools such as Power BI)
  • Perform data extraction, cleaning, and transformation using SQL and Python
  • Support data integration and data pipelines in AWS environments (e.g., Redshift)
  • Ensure data quality and consistency across reports and dashboards
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into data visualization solutions
  • Maintain and enhance existing dashboards to improve usability and performance
  • Document data processes, report logic, and workflows
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation using Python

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or Business Analyst
  • Experience working with financial services or regulatory data is required
  • (e.g., federal agencies, financial institutions, or regulated entities)
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python
  • Hands-on experience with Tableau or similar BI tools (Power BI, MicroStrategy)
  • Basic experience or familiarity with AWS services (e.g., Redshift) or other data platforms
  • Experience supporting data analysis, reporting, or dashboard development
  • Understanding of data quality and data management principles
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present findings clearly
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • U.S. Citizenship required
