Data Analyst Tableau Developer

NumInformatics is seeking a Data Analyst / Tableau Developer to support a federal financial regulatory project. This role focuses on developing data visualizations, performing data analysis, and supporting data solutions within an AWS environment.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SQL, Python, and Tableau, along with prior experience working with financial services or regulatory data.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze financial datasets to identify trends and support data-driven decision-making
Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau (or similar tools such as Power BI)
Perform data extraction, cleaning, and transformation using SQL and Python
Support data integration and data pipelines in AWS environments (e.g., Redshift)
Ensure data quality and consistency across reports and dashboards
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into data visualization solutions
Maintain and enhance existing dashboards to improve usability and performance
Document data processes, report logic, and workflows
Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation using Python

Required Qualifications

2+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or Business Analyst
Experience working with financial services or regulatory data is required
(e.g., federal agencies, financial institutions, or regulated entities)
Strong proficiency in SQL and Python
Hands-on experience with Tableau or similar BI tools (Power BI, MicroStrategy)
Basic experience or familiarity with AWS services (e.g., Redshift) or other data platforms
Experience supporting data analysis, reporting, or dashboard development
Understanding of data quality and data management principles
Strong communication skills and ability to present findings clearly
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or a related field
U.S. Citizenship required
