Compassionate ABA & Therapeutic Services is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Assistant to support our expanding multidisciplinary team across Northern Virginia. This position will begin part-time, with the opportunity to transition to a full-time role based on company growth, operational needs, and employee performance.

- Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
- Occupational Therapy (OT)
- Speech Therapy (SLP)

Our administrative and HR teams play a critical role in ensuring operational efficiency, staff support, compliance, scheduling coordination, and continuity of care across all departments.
Position Overview
As an HR Assistant, you will support daily HR operations, onboarding, scheduling coordination, compliance tracking, training support, and employee communication throughout the organization.
This role requires strong organization, initiative, professionalism, adaptability, and the ability to multitask while supporting multiple departments and locations.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance & Employee Support
- Track 48-hour session note compliance on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
- Monitor required certifications and trainings, including:
- CPR/BLS
- Safety Care
- Mandated Reporter
- RBT Certification & Renewals
- Additional company-required trainings
- Track Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) compliance and follow-up tasks
- Monitor provider communication and documentation compliance
- Support staff with general HR and operational questions
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Scheduling & Operations Support
- Assist with coverage coordination for employee absences and schedule changes
- Coordinate support coverage for training and clinic needs
- Match new employees with appropriate shadowing and onboarding opportunities
- Track employee availability and requests for additional hours
- Assist with schedule updates and staffing adjustments
- Provide employees with guidance and screen recordings to support independent scheduling updates
- Track available admin hours and distribute opportunities fairly among qualified staff
- Support operational organization across multiple departments and clinic locations
Training & Onboarding Support
- Assist with creating and assigning training through:
- Rethink
- BambooHR
- Internal company platforms
- Track required training participation and completion
- Ensure employees remain compliant with mandatory onboarding and training requirements
- Coordinate onboarding tasks and introductions between supervisors and new hires
- Assist employees throughout the onboarding process
- Support ongoing staff development initiatives and operational projects
Recruiting & Interview Responsibilities
- Conduct interviews for open positions
- Assist with sourcing and outreach for candidates
- Coordinate interview scheduling and communication
- Ensure completion of onboarding paperwork and required trainings
- Support a welcoming and professional onboarding experience for new hires
Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- Part-time schedule initially
- Opportunity for full-time transition
- Flexible scheduling based on operational and staffing needs
- Approximately 25–40 hours weekly, depending on company needs
Qualifications

- Healthcare Administration
- ABA or multidisciplinary pediatric therapy settings (preferred)
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred

Experience
- Human Resources, Scheduling, or Administrative Support: 1–2 years preferred
- ABA, pediatric therapy, or healthcare administrative experience preferred
