The Role
We are looking for a Senior Full Stack AI Engineer to help architect and build the next generation of AI-native products at Kaya.
This is not a traditional SaaS engineering role. You will work across frontend systems, backend infrastructure, AI orchestration, knowledge systems, and real-world operational workflows. You will help shape how AI agents, retrieval systems, and multimodal interfaces transform the way physical infrastructure gets built.
You will work directly with leadership, product, and customers to design and ship systems that operate in high-stakes environments where schedule, procurement, and execution matter.
What You’ll Work On
- Build AI-native workflows powered by LLMs, agents, RAG pipelines, and orchestration systems
- Develop full stack applications across web, mobile, and AI interfaces
- Design scalable backend infrastructure and APIs for mission-critical workflows
- Build intelligent procurement, logistics, and supply chain coordination systems
- Create modern frontend experiences with exceptional usability and performance
- Develop knowledge graph and retrieval systems for construction and infrastructure data
- Integrate multimodal AI capabilities across documents, drawings, schedules, and field workflows
- Work on voice, automation, and real-world operational tooling
- Partner directly with customers to rapidly prototype and deploy new workflows
- Help define engineering standards, architecture, and AI best practices across the company
Ideal Candidate
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- Strong experience building production-grade full stack applications
- Experience working with modern AI tooling and frameworks
- Deep understanding of backend systems, APIs, and distributed infrastructure
- Strong frontend engineering capabilities and product intuition
- Ability to move quickly from concept to production
- Comfortable operating in fast-moving startup environments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Passion for building products that solve real operational problems
Preferred Technical Experience
- TypeScript, React, Next.js
- Python, FastAPI, Node.js
- LLM orchestration frameworks
- RAG systems and vector databases
- Knowledge graphs and structured data systems
- Postgres, Redis, and cloud infrastructure
- AWS, GCP, or Azure
- AI workflow automation and agent architectures
- Real-time systems and event-driven infrastructure
- Mobile or multimodal AI experience is a plus
Bonus Points
- Experience building AI products from zero to production
- Background in supply chain, logistics, construction, or industrial software
- Experience with computer vision, voice AI, or spatial computing
- Previous startup or high-growth company experience
- Open source contributions or strong technical portfolio
