Direct Support Professional

  • Ensure client safety and maintain a safe environment.
  • Complete daily and monthly documentation and reports following standards.
  • Assist clients with money management, personal paperwork, and other documentation.
  • Coordinate and assist with home management functions such as light housekeeping, shopping, and meal preparation; Create daily schedules and plans for clients
  • Ensure all necessary medical and other appointments are scheduled;
  • Accompany clients to scheduled appointments and/or run errands for clients.
  • Contribute/encourage community participation of clients
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Skills:

  • Ability to write brief reports and document billable hours; communication skills (verbally and written) with all levels of personnel, internal and external to the company

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

  • 2-year college degree or diploma; high School Diploma/GED and 2-3years experience; 1-2 years of prior experience in a related field and the ability to work well independently; valid driver’s license and insurance
