Infant/Toddler Floater

About Education Nation Learning Academy

We're a Montessori-inspired early learning center in Fishtown, Philadelphia, serving children 6 weeks to 6 years old. Our infant and younger toddler classrooms maintain small ratios, calm environments, and consistent routines that help every child thrive. We're growing, and we need dependable team members to grow with us.

Your Daily Impact

  • Provide coverage for classroom teachers across infant and younger toddler rooms
  • Maintain established routines for infants and younger toddlers
  • Support age-appropriate activities from sensory play to early motor development
  • Ensure children's safety and well-being at all developmental stages
  • Follow lesson plans and communicate with permanent staff
  • Assist with feeding, diaper changes, naps, and transitions for all ages
  • Help prepare and maintain sensory-rich learning materials and activity areas
  • Keep classrooms clean, organized, and safe throughout the day

 

What We're Looking For

  • High School Diploma + active CDA (Child Development Associate) credential, or 15 early childhood education credits required
  • Experience in a licensed childcare setting preferred
  • Valid Pennsylvania clearances: FBI, State Police, and Child Abuse (or ability to obtain before start)
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to complete upon hire)

  • Comfortable with technology for classroom support, documentation, and communication
  • Emotional intelligence for working with diverse age groups and families
  • Resilience for dynamic environments and various developmental challenges
  • Multi-tasking skills to handle various classroom situations across ages
  • Flexible and adaptable personality for various age groups
  • Patient and nurturing demeanor with all developmental stages
  • Strong communication skills with children, families, and staff
  • Understanding of executive functioning skills and how they develop in early childhood
  • Quick learner who follows directions well
  • Positive attitude and team spirit

 

Great to Have

  • Understanding of Montessori or early childhood best practices
  • Bilingual abilities (Spanish/English)
