Tee Health Dermatology is seeking an exceptional Medical Assistant / Patient Care Coordinator to join our growing practice. This role is ideal for motivated pre-medical, pre-PA, pre-nursing, pre-NP, and other pre-health professionals seeking meaningful clinical experience, physician mentorship, and direct patient care exposure.

Team member will work directly with Founder, Dr. Michael Tee MD PhD, who has extensive training including institutions like Cornell, University of Oxford, and the Cleveland Clinic. Research opportunities may be included.

This is more than a traditional Medical Assistant position—we view our team members as future healthcare leaders and invest heavily in their development.

Compensation

$24–$34 per hour

Schedule

Full-time (40 hours/week approximately)

Clinic hours include a combination of:

• Monday–Friday daytime clinics
• Select evening clinics until 6:30 PM
• Rotating Saturday and Sunday half-day clinics

Weekend coverage is shared among team members to promote work-life balance.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain medical histories
• Record vital signs and update medical records
• Assist physicians with dermatologic procedures
• Prepare treatment and procedure rooms
• Clinical photography and documentation
• Assist with biopsies, excisions, injections, and other procedures
• Patient education and follow-up

Administrative Responsibilities

• Patient check-in and check-out
• Scheduling appointments
• Answering phones and patient messages
• Insurance verification and prior authorizations
• Managing clinical documentation and records
• Supporting efficient clinic flow

Qualifications Required

• Strong communication skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Professional and compassionate demeanor
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable transportation
• Availability for occasional evening and weekend shifts

Preferred

• Previous healthcare experience
• Medical assistant certification
• Scribing experience
• Bachelor's degree or current enrollment in a healthcare-related field
• Interest in medicine, dermatology, nursing, physician assistant studies, or healthcare research
