About the Job: 

CT Community Outreach is hiring Canvassers in New Haven, CT to canvass door-to-door. No experience is necessary– Full training is provided! We are looking for outgoing individuals, passionate about electoral politics and voting. 


 

What We Offer: 

  • $20/hour pay
  • Opportunities for excellent canvassers to be brought onto other projects that come to the CT area.
  • Entry-level experience working in community outreach and electoral politics to prepare for future careers in the political, nonprofit, and electoral realm.
  • Opportunities for recommendation letters and resume references in the instance of exemplary canvass work.
     

What You Will Do: 

  • Canvass door-to-door in residential neighborhoods throughout the New Haven area.
  • Engage in meaningful conversation with CT residents regarding community outreach, local elections, and the needs of the community. 
  • Work in your community while developing communication skills and a better understanding of community outreach and local elections.

Schedule (subject to change): 

  • This project runs from now until the Primary election on August 11th.
  • The office is running 7 days per week with schedules on the weekdays from 2-8pm and on the weekends from 12-6pm (flexible days, you create your own schedule)
  • We are also looking to hire recruiters, which have a more flexible time schedule. 

Requirements: 

  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Smartphone needed.
  • Outgoing and comfortable engaging with community members.
  • Comfortable with door-to-door work and outdoor activity.
  • Authorized to work in the US.
