Behavior Therapist (BT)
Learning Springs Academy is seeking a caring, motivated, and dependable Behavior Therapist (BT) to join our school-based team and work with our elementary-aged students, including children on the autism spectrum.

Our BTs provide individualized support within the classroom and help students develop the skills they need to participate, learn, communicate, and succeed at school.
What You’ll Do
The Behavior Therapist will implement individualized educational and behavioral programming under the direction of the student’s treatment team, including:
- Provide direct 1:1 behavioral support to students within the classroom and school environment.
- Implement ABA-based teaching and behavior-support strategies consistently and appropriately.
- Teach and reinforce communication, language, social, academic, behavioral, and daily living skills.
- Support students in developing independence and successfully participating in classroom routines.
- Respond appropriately to challenging or disruptive behaviors while maintaining a safe, respectful, and supportive environment.
- Collect accurate data and communicate student progress and concerns to the appropriate team members.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, BCBAs, therapists, and other school staff.
- Prepare, organize, and maintain teaching materials and program resources.
- Follow student-specific behavior plans, safety procedures, and school policies.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with students while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
What We’re Looking For
Our ideal candidate is someone who is patient, compassionate, dependable, energetic, and genuinely passionate about working with children.
Preferred qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in Psychology, Education, Social Work, Applied Behavior Analysis, or a related field preferred
- At least 6 months of ABA experience working with children, particularly children on the autism spectrum preferred
- Experience implementing ABA programs in a school, clinic, or community setting is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and supportive when responding to challenging behavior.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and receive ongoing training and supervision.
Required Clearances
Applicants must have, or be able to obtain:
- California DOJ and FBI fingerprint clearance
- TB clearance
- Any additional clearances or training required by the school
