Seasonal Stipend-Based Touring Opportunity

Organization: Hispanic Flamenco Ballet
Location: Must report to Miami, Florida, and travel on tour across the United States
Required Dates: September 15, 2026 through December 9, 2026
English: Required
Spanish: Intermediate Spanish preferred; native Spanish is not required
Stipend: $600 per week for meals and personal expenses
Travel: Air transportation and ground transportation covered by Hispanic Flamenco Ballet
Lodging: Hotel accommodations covered throughout the tour
Certification: Hispanic Flamenco Ballet can provide official certification of service hours and touring experience upon successful completion.

About the Opportunity

Hispanic Flamenco Ballet is seeking a responsible, friendly, organized, and professional individual to join our upcoming educational tour as a Tour Host & Wardrobe Assistant.

This position is ideal for students or emerging professionals in arts administration, theatre, dance, hospitality, wardrobe, event management, education, or nonprofit performing arts who want real hands-on experience in a professional touring environment.

The selected candidate will serve as one of the first faces of Hispanic Flamenco Ballet when schools arrive at the venue. This person will help welcome teachers and students, support check-in, guide groups, assist with audience flow, and help ensure that each school has a positive and organized experience.

During the show, the candidate will assist backstage with wardrobe organization, costume care, quick-change preparation, and general support for performers and tour staff. The candidate will also assist with basic stage setup and breakdown, helping the tour team prepare the performance space before each show and maintain organization after the performance.

This position requires consistent communication with the HFB office before, during, and after show days. The candidate may be asked to report school arrivals, audience issues, wardrobe needs, venue updates, schedule changes, and any situation requiring office awareness or follow-up.

Main Responsibilities

  • Welcome schools, teachers, students, and guests at the venue.
  • Assist with school check-in and audience flow.
  • Help guide groups to the correct entrance, seating area, or waiting area.
  • Communicate basic event information professionally and clearly.
  • Report questions, delays, changes, or issues to the Tour Manager and HFB office.
  • Maintain constant communication with the office during show days as needed.
  • Assist with basic stage setup before performances.
  • Assist with breakdown and organization after performances.
  • Support backstage wardrobe organization before, during, and after the show.
  • Help prepare costumes, accessories, and wardrobe items for performances.
  • Support quick changes and keep wardrobe areas clean and organized.
  • Help track, protect, and care for costumes and company materials.
  • Assist with light production, hospitality, or administrative tasks as needed.
  • Maintain a professional, friendly, and calm presence during busy show days.
  • Participate in training sessions before and during the tour.

Qualifications

  • Must speak English fluently.
  • Intermediate Spanish is preferred; native Spanish is not required.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Friendly, professional, and comfortable interacting with teachers, students, artists, venue staff, and the HFB office.
  • Interest or experience in theatre, dance, hospitality, wardrobe, arts administration, event management, education, or nonprofit performing arts.
  • Must be organized, punctual, responsible, and detail-oriented.
  • Must be comfortable traveling for approximately 3 months.
  • Must be available in Miami from September 15, 2026 through December 9, 2026.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced touring environment.
  • Must be willing to assist with backstage, wardrobe, stage setup, breakdown, and light physical tasks.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive is a plus, but not required.
