Digital Press Operator

Digital Press Operator to operate and maintain our digital printing equipment.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience operating industrial digital printing equipment and understands the importance of print quality, color consistency, registration, production efficiency, and equipment maintenance. This position is responsible for taking approved digital files through the printing process and producing high-quality prints.

This is a hands-on manufacturing position in a production environment where attention to detail and consistency are critical.

• Operate Digital flatbed printers and roll to roll digital presses 
• Prepare and load various substrates and materials for printing.
• Review job travelers, work orders, proofs, and digital files before production.
• Perform machine setup, calibration, registration, and print-quality adjustments.
• Monitor ink levels, print quality, curing, and machine operation during production.
• Perform routine cleaning and preventative maintenance on printing equipment.
• Troubleshoot common print-quality and equipment issues.
• Identify defects such as banding, streaking, color variation, registration issues, nozzle problems, and improper curing.
• Maintain consistent color and print quality throughout production runs.
• Verify printed parts against approved proofs, samples, and specifications.
• Assist with other production duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating digital printing equipment in a commercial or manufacturing environment. 
• Basic color theory knowledge.
• Experience color matching to Pantone systems 
• Ability to perform printer troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Strong understanding of print registration, color consistency, resolution, and print quality.
• Computer skills and ability to work with production software.
