About the Role

TechMentee is seeking an Entry-Level Data Analyst to join our growing team. This opportunity is designed for final-year students, recent graduates, and early-career professionals interested in using data to solve business problems and support informed decision-making.

You will work with business and technical teams to collect, organize, analyze, and visualize data. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in SQL and Microsoft Excel, an interest in data visualization, and the ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Professional experience is not required. Relevant coursework, academic projects, internships, certifications, and personal projects will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

Collect, clean, validate, and organize data from multiple sources.

Analyze datasets to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and actionable business insights.

Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and analysis.

Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.

Use Microsoft Excel for analysis, reconciliation, and reporting.

Assist in developing dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.

Perform data-quality checks and investigate inconsistencies.

Support business teams with ad-hoc analysis and reporting requests.

Translate business questions into meaningful analytical tasks.

Present findings and recommendations clearly to team members and stakeholders.

Maintain documentation for reports, datasets, metrics, and analytical processes.

Collaborate with teams across business, technology, finance, and operations.

Required Qualifications

Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related discipline.

Expected to graduate soon or graduated within the past two years.

Foundational knowledge of SQL and relational databases.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Basic understanding of data cleaning, analysis, and visualization.

Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or a comparable visualization tool.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Careful attention to detail and data accuracy.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience using Python or R for data analysis.

Familiarity with Pandas and NumPy.

Experience creating dashboards in Power BI or Tableau.

Understanding of basic statistical concepts.

Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, or data modeling.

Familiarity with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.

Experience with SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or a similar database.

Familiarity with Jira and Agile or Scrum working environments.
