Proper Tile & Stone is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, design-savvy Showroom & Sales Assistant to support our sales and operations teams and create an exceptional experience for every client who interacts with the showroom.

This is a hands-on, multifaceted role for someone who thrives in a small, collaborative environment and enjoys balancing client service, administrative detail, and the visual and creative aspects of a design showroom. The ideal candidate is polished, responsive, highly organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while maintaining a warm, professional presence.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Order Support

• Prepare detailed and accurate client quotes based on project specifications, including square footage, overage, trim, accessories, and installation requirements.
• Gather product pricing, availability, and lead times for prospective projects and assist Sales Associates with project research.
• Revise quotes as selections, quantities, pricing, or project requirements change.
• Convert approved quotes into accurate sales orders, ensuring all SKUs, quantities, pricing, and customer/project details are correct.
• Assist with order entry, sample requests, customer follow-up, and other sales administration.
• Communicate proactively about order status, delays, backorders, and changes.
• Provide responsive, polished customer service throughout the quoting and ordering process.
• Support the Operations Coordinator during high-volume periods and help keep internal and client communication moving efficiently.

Showroom & Client Experience

• Greet and assist clients by phone and in the showroom, creating a warm, knowledgeable, and professional first impression.
• Manage the showroom appointment calendar and field initial customer inquiries.
• Assist Sales Associates with client presentations, sample pulls, and project appointments.
• Pull and organize samples and monitor sample inventory to ensure Sales Associates have what they need for client presentations.
• Maintain and organize tile samples, displays, design boards, and other showroom materials.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually compelling showroom environment that reflects the Proper Tile & Stone aesthetic.
• Assist with showroom events, presentations, and occasional sample drop-offs.
• Step in wherever needed to support client and vendor communication and ensure a seamless customer experience.

Marketing Support

• Assist with day-to-day execution of Proper Tile & Stone's social media presence, including Instagram and other relevant platforms.
• Capture high-quality photos and short-form video of products, showroom displays, installations, events, and behind-the-scenes moments.
• Assist with website updates, newsletters, and other digital marketing initiatives.
• Support planning and promotion of showroom events, launches, and other marketing initiatives.

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of experience in a client-facing, sales support, showroom, administrative, or operations role; experience in tile, stone, flooring, interiors, architecture, or a related design industry is strongly preferred.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent follow-through and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and a polished, professional presence.
• Comfortable working with numbers, measurements, pricing, product specifications, and detailed project information.
• Strong computer skills and comfort learning CRM, sales, order-entry, and inventory systems.
• Genuine interest in interiors, architecture, materials, and design.
• Visually minded with an appreciation for a curated, design-forward showroom environment.
• Resourceful and proactive, with a willingness to jump in and solve problems rather than wait to be asked.
• Service-oriented and personable, with the ability to communicate confidently and graciously with designers, architects, contractors, homeowners, and vendors.
• Comfortable working in a small business where priorities can shift quickly, and everyone contributes across functions.
• A team player who takes ownership, communicates clearly, and brings a positive, can-do attitude.
