Management Trainee: Event Sales
Management Trainee – Sales & Events
Midtown Manhattan, NY | Full-Time | Monday–Friday | W2 | Entry-Level
Starting Pay: $650–$1,200/week + Uncapped Weekly Bonuses
Start in the field. Learn the business. Grow into leadership.
At Weather, we believe the best managers understand the work from the ground up.
Our Management Trainee program is designed for ambitious, early-career professionals who want hands-on experience in sales, customer engagement, team development, and business operations—with the opportunity to take on more responsibility as they develop.
Everyone starts by learning how we represent our clients face-to-face at live events, pop-ups, and community campaigns across New York City. From there, you'll build toward training others, leading teams, and gaining exposure to the operational side of the business.
No previous management or sales experience is required. We hire for attitude, work ethic, and potential, then provide hands-on training and mentorship.
What you'll learn from the ground up
Your first step is becoming confident in the fundamentals of our business: representing clients, communicating with customers, and producing results in the field.
You'll learn to:
- Represent nationally recognized brands and nonprofit partners at live events and pop-up campaigns
- Build confidence in face-to-face sales and customer engagement
- Communicate campaign, product, and brand messaging effectively
- Work toward individual and team performance goals
- Understand how campaigns are executed and results are tracked
- Develop stronger communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
As you demonstrate consistency and proficiency, you'll have opportunities to take on additional responsibilities such as training newer team members, helping lead events, setting team goals, and learning more about campaign and team management.
The progression
We don't expect entry-level hires to walk in knowing how to manage a team. The goal is to develop those skills through experience.
Learn the fundamentals → Produce consistent results → Train others → Develop leadership skills → Take on greater team and campaign responsibility
This structure gives you firsthand experience with the work before you're expected to coach or lead someone else through it.
Who we're looking for
This opportunity is especially suited to students, recent graduates, career starters, and career changers who want more than a traditional entry-level job.
You'll likely do well here if you are:
- Ambitious and interested in leadership or management
- Comfortable meeting and speaking with new people
- Competitive and motivated by measurable goals
- Coachable and open to feedback
- Reliable and ready to work full-time Monday–Friday
- Interested in learning how a business operates from the ground up
- Comfortable working on-site in Midtown Manhattan
- Authorized to work in the United States
Experience in student leadership, athletics, hospitality, retail, customer service, events, or sales can translate particularly well, but isn't required.
What you'll get
- Paid training from day one
- Weekly pay + uncapped performance bonuses
- Hands-on sales and business development experience
- One-on-one coaching and mentorship
- Leadership and team-development training
- Opportunities to take on greater responsibility based on performance
- National and international travel opportunities
- Healthcare assistance program
- A collaborative, high-energy team environment
Let's be transparent
This is a face-to-face sales and marketing role first.
Our management development starts in the field because we believe future leaders should understand the same work they'll eventually be responsible for teaching and managing.
You'll spend the beginning of your career with Weather developing your communication, sales, and customer engagement skills firsthand. As you become proficient, you'll have the opportunity to expand into training, leadership, and greater operational responsibility.
If you're looking for an entry-level opportunity where you can learn by doing and build toward leadership from the ground up, we'd like to meet you.
