2027 Undergraduate Summer Internship: Scientific Affairs - Wellness & Nutrition

About the Role

At Haleon, we're passionate about improving everyday health through trusted science and leading brands such as Centrum, Emergen-C, Benefiber, TUMS, and Caltrate.

As a Scientific Affairs Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience within our Wellness & Nutrition team, helping bridge science, consumer health, and business strategy. You'll work alongside scientists and cross-functional partners while learning how scientific evidence supports product innovation, claims development, consumer communications, and business decisions across our Wellness portfolio.

This role is ideal for students who are passionate about health, wellness, nutrition, and human sciences and want to apply their knowledge in a business environment. You'll gain exposure to how scientific evidence is translated into meaningful solutions that support consumers and drive innovation across Haleon's leading brands.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with scientists and cross-functional teams to support projects across Haleon's Wellness portfolio.
  • Review and evaluate scientific literature to help answer business and consumer health questions.
  • Develop summaries and insights from scientific research, market trends, and competitive intelligence.
  • Learn how science supports product innovation, claims development, and consumer communications.
  • Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Legal, Marketing, Product Development, and Safety teams.
  • Contribute ideas and perspectives that help identify future opportunities in wellness, nutrition, and consumer health.
  • Present project findings and recommendations at the conclusion of the internship.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate student entering sophomore, junior, or senior year.
  • Pursuing a degree in Human Nutrition, Nutritional Sciences, Dietetics, Biomedical Sciences, Public Health, Health Sciences, Biology, Neuroscience, or a related discipline.
  • Strong interest in health, wellness, nutrition, consumer healthcare, or life sciences.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to learn independently, manage multiple priorities, and work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated interest in human health, nutrition, wellness, or healthcare through coursework, research, volunteer activities, campus involvement, or work experience.
  • Experience reviewing, summarizing, or presenting scientific information.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
  • Interest in applying scientific thinking to real-world consumer health challenges.

Eligibility and Program Requirements

  • This internship requires working at the designated location. Candidates requiring relocation are responsible for arranging and funding their own housing, transportation, and relocation needs.
  • Candidate must be able to work full-time (40 hours/week) Monday-Friday for 12 weeks during Summer 2027.
  • Candidate must be authorized to work in the United States and will not require sponsorship in the future. Work authorization documentation will be required during the application process.
  • The position is based in Berkeley Heights, NJ and requires an in-office presence Monday-Friday.
  • Expected Start Date: June 2027

Compensation

Compensation for this internship is based on Haleon's Early Talent compensation structure:

  • Sophomore: $22.50/hour
  • Junior: $24.50/hour
  • Senior: $26.00/hour
