Program Director
Position Duties: The Team Armstead Program Director provides leadership at an individual project site to plan, implement, and coordinate a safe and inviting environment of daily activities and events at the Team Armstead Center to deliver academic enrichment opportunities and activities complementing enrolled students’ regular academic programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and sustain relationships with students, families, and community partners to support student success through communication.
- Stays on campus until the buses have cleared.
- Ensures a safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environment is provided for students, families, and staff.
- Ensures proper and prudent stewardship of all funds by implementing the project design in compliance with program standards as outlined in all the grant applications.
- Leads all required site professional development training and staff meetings.
- Maintains disciplinary issues using the PBIS framework and communicates outcomes with parents and building principals, project manager, central office staff, teachers, assistants, students, and parents/guardians.
- Completes reports as requested
- Submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on time
- Evaluate and observe staff often
- Oversees the provision of daily snacks and meals to enrolled students.
- Prepares and oversees the delivery of ready-to-teach lesson plans, activities, and resources.
- Provides academic instruction to students in small and whole group settings.
- Recruits and motivates students, staff, and families to consistently attend, participate in, and support the program.
- Ability to be flexible and adjust to changes when necessary.
- Reports any suspected abuse or neglect according to the Mandated Reporter Policy.
- Tracks, monitors, and reports on the quantity, quality, and appropriate use of project equipment, materials, and supplies.
- Tracks, monitors, reports, and facilitates resolution of transportation issues.
- Performs other duties as necessary and requested.
