LPN or RN (Licensed Practical Nurse/ Registered Nurse)
We are looking for a reliable LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) to care for a young woman in her home and the community. LPN professionals must be first and foremost qualified and compassionate. The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing diverse basic care to those who need it while remaining patient and calm. It can be a demanding job but also very rewarding. Mohnton, PA
Schedule and Pay:
- Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri from 5pm to 11pm/12am
- Thurs, Sat, Sun from 9am to 11pm/12am
$28.50 room for increase after 90 days
Responsibilities
- Record a patient’s medical history accurately
- Monitor patients’ condition and chart accordingly
- Assist patient in daily necessary activities
- Assist with all ADLs
- Administer prescribed medications
- Assist with other basic medical care tasks
- Assist with transferring the patient as needed
- Assure all safety aspects in both the home and community
- Communicate with patients’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort and instructions
Experience:
- Working with individuals who are non-verbal
- Working with individuals with intellectual disabilities
- Be comfortable and familiar with seizure protocol
- Experience working with individuals who are a choking risk
- Have experience and be comfortable working with Trachs and Feeding tubes
Skills/Requirements
- Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team
- Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices
- Good physical condition and stamina
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and able to handle stress
- Successful completion of LPN license program is required
