ABOUT CENTERPOINTE
CenterPointe opened its doors in 2003 with the vision to provide continuity of care for families and their children by providing a wide variety of services so that the needs of each child could be met. We provide counseling, medication management, community-based rehabilitation services (CBRS), individual respite, early childhood developmental services, behavioral intervention (HI), and therapeutic behavioral services (TBS) to children and teens throughout Canyon County and Ada County. We also provide school CBRS and BI to students in multiple school districts in Canyon County.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The counselor must enjoy working with children, adolescents, and families and preferably have experience and training working with this population. The counselor will provide individual and family counseling, assessments, client written reviews, and discharge summaries. Must be detailed oriented and have the ability to complete professional, comprehensive assessments and treatment plans to identify emotional, social, and environmental strengths and weaknesses related to their diagnosis, illness, treatment, and/or life situation in a timely manner. Must be skilled at formulating, developing, and implementing a comprehensive treatment plan utilizing appropriate evidence-based interventions. Must document assessments and treatment plans, interactions, and interventions according to guidelines and standards. Administrative staff assists counselors in tracking deadline timelines for paperwork completion. Our counselors have their own fully stocked offices where they can decorate to fit their personality. Client reminder calls are done on a daily basis via computer software, and our Client Service Representatives take care of all scheduling of clients. All work is done during normal business hours, at one location, and no work is taken home. No on-call work is required.
Requirements/ Qualifications:
- Must hold an active license in Idaho to provide psychotherapy as a Licensed Master’s in Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC).
- Must be able to provide a solid diagnosis based on clinical findings.
- Must be organized and detail-oriented, especially in processing paperwork.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- General computer proficiency, including the ability to utilize electronic medical record systems.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check, which will include an additional search of the National Provider Data Bank.
- Must maintain individual professional liability insurance in the amount of $1,000,000/per claim and $3,000,000/aggregate.
- Must be willing to become trained in TBS
- Must be willing to become trained in TCC
- Recent graduates are welcome!
- Must be a team player and professional.

- Operating hours are:
Monday – Thursday 9:00 – 6:00
Friday – 8:00 – 5:00
