Our finance team plays a pivotal role in evaluating performance, tracking royalties, and ensuring operational efficiency across our global licensing efforts. We’re looking for analytical, curious, and detail-oriented interns to join us for the summer and gain firsthand experience in the business side of brand management.
Objectives of This Role
- Gain hands-on experience in financial operations, royalty tracking, and client account management
- Support strategic analysis and budgeting efforts tied to CMG’s brand portfolio
- Learn how financial data informs decisions across legal, marketing, and licensing functions
- Assist with internal reporting and process optimization
- Collaborate on real projects that shape how legacy brands perform financially
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with royalty report tracking and financial statement preparation
- Support internal budgeting, forecasting, and reconciliation projects
- Conduct market research and financial benchmarking
- Help monitor revenue streams from licensing and endorsement deals
- Work with other departments to ensure financial compliance and documentation accuracy
- Participate in special projects and ad hoc analysis as needed
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas preferred)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
- Time management skills and a proactive, self-starter attitude
- Passion for finance, intellectual property, or the entertainment business
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- Familiarity with financial reporting and budgeting principles
- Prior experience in business operations or a financial setting (coursework or internship)
- Interest in brand licensing, royalties, or entertainment finance
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Pay range: $17 /hour
