Our finance team plays a pivotal role in evaluating performance, tracking royalties, and ensuring operational efficiency across our global licensing efforts. We’re looking for analytical, curious, and detail-oriented interns to join us for the summer and gain firsthand experience in the business side of brand management.

 

 

Objectives of This Role

  • Gain hands-on experience in financial operations, royalty tracking, and client account management
  • Support strategic analysis and budgeting efforts tied to CMG’s brand portfolio
  • Learn how financial data informs decisions across legal, marketing, and licensing functions
  • Assist with internal reporting and process optimization
  • Collaborate on real projects that shape how legacy brands perform financially

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with royalty report tracking and financial statement preparation
  • Support internal budgeting, forecasting, and reconciliation projects
  • Conduct market research and financial benchmarking
  • Help monitor revenue streams from licensing and endorsement deals
  • Work with other departments to ensure financial compliance and documentation accuracy
  • Participate in special projects and ad hoc analysis as needed

 

 

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas preferred)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
  • Time management skills and a proactive, self-starter attitude
  • Passion for finance, intellectual property, or the entertainment business

 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Familiarity with financial reporting and budgeting principles
  • Prior experience in business operations or a financial setting (coursework or internship)
  • Interest in brand licensing, royalties, or entertainment finance
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

 

 

Pay range: $17 /hour
