Youth and Worship Pastor

YOUTH MINISTRY

Lead weekly youth group meetings (Junior & Senior High)
Teach a Sunday School class for youth (Junior or Senior High)
Develop and implement a long-term discipleship plan for children and youth
Disciple and train youth ministry volunteers
Coordinate and participate in mission trips, retreats, camps, and events
Build relationships with students and their families to provide ongoing pastoral care
Develop student leaders and provide them with opportunities for growth
Partner with parents to address biblical and cultural issues relevant to youth

WORSHIP MINISTRY

Prayerfully prepare weekly worship services centered on the themes of the gospel: Creation, Fall, Redemption, and Consummation
Recruit, develop, and schedule worship teams who are united in purpose to glorify God in Christ through Word-saturated music
Regularly introduce new music while maintaining a balanced, familiar repertoire
Identify and disciple future worship leaders within the congregation
Oversee audio/visual and tech needs for worship services
When not leading worship (e.g., during preaching, youth trips, vacations), coordinate a substitute worship leader

OTHER PASTORAL DUTIES 

Preach up to 6–10 times per year
Fulfill other pastoral duties such as weddings, funerals, and visitations
Keep regular office hours as appropriate with other duties
Serve with other spiritual gifts not listed in this description

QUALIFICATIONS

Male, demonstrably qualified for eldership per 1 Timothy 3:1–7 and Titus 1:6–9
Passionate about discipling young people and helping them treasure Christ
Musically gifted, with strong vocal and instrumental ability
Theologically grounded and committed to gospel-rich, theologically sound worship
Bachelor’s degree required; Bible college or seminary training preferred
Skilled communicator across multiple platforms, including digital and social media
Committed to ongoing spiritual and professional development
Must affirm and support Emmanuel Baptist Church's Affirmation of Faith and Church Covenant
