SUNY Cortland Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) Office seeks candidates for the full-time position of Senior EOP Counselor. The senior EOP counselor will report to the EOP Assistant Director and serve as counselor to SUNY Cortland Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) students. Senior counseling and advising services include: personal counseling, career counseling, financial counseling, withdrawal and/or leave of absence counseling, and transfer counseling. Frequent student interaction is essential.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A master’s degree is required as well as Human Services experience in a community, residential or institutional setting, individually or in groups.
Preferred qualifications include applicants with a master’s degree in Sociology, Psychology, Counseling, Educational Administration, or related area; experience in working in an educational opportunity program; familiarity with under-prepared students and their experience; experience in working in higher education.
