Summer Intern, Financial Analysis

We are looking to hire a Summer Intern to support several financial analysis projects over a period of 12-14 weeks beginning June 9. This is a paid individual contributor position, reporting to the CFO and can be based anywhere in the Bay Area. A hybrid work presence is expected. Occasional travel is possible in order to be successful in this role.
Desired Skills, Experience and Education:
- First year MBA student, with preference for Finance majors, or those with demonstrably deep financial analysis and cost analysis experience.
- Comfort with cost elements of a cloud based SaaS solution. Much of this will be provided during your time at Ayla, but having a head start will be beneficial
- Undergraduate degree diversity encouraged
- Must be based in the San Jose area and willing to be in the office 2-3 days per week. Hours will vary on WFH days, as this role will require engagement with a global workforce. Early starts, or evening conference calls are likely, but should not be frequent
What you will be doing:
- Assisting the leadership team in gaining a better understanding of its cost structure at a partner, product, behavioral, and geographic level.
- Gathering data, assigning value to the data, asking good questions, and being tenacious are all traits that will make this candidate successful
- Presenting the information and findings to the executive team on a regular basis.
