Audio-Visual Production Manager

POSITION SUMMARY: The Audio-Visual Production Manager, under the supervision of the Campus Production Director, shall coordinate the media and sound needs for events on the Mississippi College campus.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Oversee Audio/Visual/Lighting (AVL) needs for the college, primarily in A.E. Wood Coliseum (Non-athletic events), B. C. Rogers/Anderson Hall, Nelson Hall/Swor Auditorium, Aven JPW Recital Hall (non-music events), Entergy Theater, and Provine Chapel.
  • Coordinate with the TLC Studio to livestream and record events when requested
  • Maintain all AVL equipment in A.E. Wood Coliseum, B. C. Rogers/Anderson Hall, Nelson Hall/Swor Auditorium, Aven JPW Recital Hall, Entergy Theater and Provine Chapel.
  • Work with off-campus groups to deliver excellent audio/visual services for scheduled events.
  • In consultation with the Campus Production Director, recruit, hire, train, and schedule A/V student workers to ensure adequate staffing for events
  • Maintain an inventory of all AVL equipment.
  • Submit requests through the Campus Production Director for maintenance, repairs, and necessary upgrades.
  • Provide an on-going analysis of AVL performances within A.E. Wood Coliseum, B. C.
    Rogers/Anderson Hall, Nelson Hall/Swor Auditorium, Aven JPW Recital Hall, Entergy Theater and Provine Chapel.
  • Serve as liaison between various campus departments and outside vendors to purchase and install AVL systems on-campus
  • Coordinate with the Director of University Events to ensure that set-ups are conducive to the AVL needs of the events
     

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience and working knowledge of sound, video, and networking equipment, including digital audio consoles, PA systems, lighting consoles, projection systems, and video switchers.
  • Experience in livestreaming, Blackmagic ATEM, ProPresenter, M/X32, A&H SQ preferred.
  • Ability to analyze audio-visual systems in order to maximize performance and to communicate problems and needs.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and make basic and proper repairs to equipment and systems.
  • Ability to work with a team of college students to accomplish departmental goals
  • Able to work nights and weekends
  • Able to climb stairs and ladders and lift up to 50 pounds
