
Medical Scribe / Clinical Assistant - Medical & Surgical Dermatology
Medical Scribe / Clinical Assistant (12-24 months, Full Time)
Darabi Dermatology, a dermatology and Mohs surgery clinic in Chaska, Shakopee and Hutchinson, MN, is looking for a pre-med or pre-PA gap year student who is applying for Medical School or PA School and is seeking a full-time position to gain clinical experience for one to two years after college graduation. Start date is June or July 2025.
Accepted applicants will be trained by the providers and nursing staff to work as a Medical Scribe / Clinical assistant in our general Dermatology and Mohs surgery clinic.
Job duties include:
- Rooming patients and creating chart notes
- Scribing patient encounters in our electronic medical record EMA
- Set-up and assist during skin biopsies, excisions, Mohs surgery and reconstructive surgery
- Help in the daily workflows of the clinic (instrument processing, specimen handling)
- Work as a team player in our clinical care team with other scribes and Medical Assistants
- The candidate will gain valuable clinical experience through numerous patient encounters and skin procedures to prepare for medical school or PA school.
Medical Scribe / Clinical Assistant job description:
- Full-time (Monday through Thursday 7:30am to 4:45pm and Friday 7:30am -12pm), no evenings, weekends or holidays)
- Commitment to join us for one to two years. Shorter commitments are not considered as it takes considerable time to get trained for this position.
- $19 per hour during initial 90 day introductory period
- $20 per hour after 90 days
