Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work directly with individuals with developmental disabilities, implementing behavior intervention plans and supporting clients in achieving their personal goals. This role is essential in providing high-quality patient care and fostering a positive environment for learning and growth.

Duties

  • Follow individualized plans created by a BCBA to address specific behavioral goals.
  • Use evidence-based techniques to promote skill acquisition and reduce challenging behaviors.
  • Deliver one-on-one therapy in various settings, such as homes, clinics, schools, or the community.
  • Maintain a consistent and structured approach during sessions.
  • Accurately track client progress by recording data during and after therapy sessions.
  • Report observations to the supervising BCBA for ongoing analysis.
  • Teach daily living skills, social skills, communication, and other targeted abilities based on client needs.
  • Use positive reinforcement to encourage desired behaviors.
  • Respect client confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines set by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Attend regular supervision meetings with a BCBA to review performance and receive feedback.
  • Complete ongoing training to maintain RBT certification.
  • Assist in group therapy or social skills training sessions

Qualifications

  • Minimum High School Graduates
  • Registered Behavior Technician Certificate is requried
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail for accurate data collection.
  • Patience and empathy to work effectively with clients.
  • Ability to follow instructions and adapt to feedback
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of behavioral health.
