I enjoyed working with a variety of teams and exploring different areas of the firm. I had a certain level of ownership over each project I worked on and a lot of the work I produced directly impacted the operations of the team I was helping. I also had a decent amount of flexibility because the firm is smaller, so I could explore other areas. Many people reached out for informal chats or coffee.
What I wish was different
I wished there was a more robust onboarding process. Some things that were learned on the fly could have been helpful to cover in the beginning.
Advice
Don't be afraid to ask questions and reach out to people. Often, they are excited to meet you and answer any questions you have. Be intentional about what you ask and how you ask it to make the most out of the conversation.
